Little Books is a vibrant, independent young publishing company. It is incredible to think it is now eight years since we first launched in 2003 with Little Books by Big Names, natty, concise books to fit in your pocket, authored by a glittering array of contemporary, well-known writers.

Since then, Little Books have continued to flourish. Our philosophy has been always to bring books to everyone juggling busy lives but who, passionate about reading, want to be entertained as well as informed - without needing to devote huge chunks of time to wading through over-long tomes or have the same book sitting on their bedside table for months on end.

In 2006 we launched Max Press, offering serious non-fiction, biography, travel and history. Since size does sometimes matter, Max Press has specialized in publishing not only concise editions, but also more substantial and academic volumes for those wanting something to get their teeth into.

2010 has seen the launch of Psyche, books with a social conscience that will make you think about the world, and books with a soul to make you think about life and our place in it.

Whether you have just enough time to squeeze in a Little Book or settle down and indulge yourself in a Max, we very much hope that you will enjoy reading our books as much as we and our authors have loved creating them for you.
