Little Books Max Press

Welcome

So little time, so much to do....
Little Books is a young, independent publishing company. We launched in 2003 on the eve of the Iraq War with 'Little Books by Big Names' - natty, concise books to fit in your pocket, by a glittering array of contemporary, well-known writers. Our philosophy is to bring books to everyone juggling busy lives but who, passionate about reading, want to be entertained as well as informed - without needing to devote huge chunks of time to wading through over-long tomes or have the same book sitting on their bedside table for months on end.

So much time, so little to do....
We also believe that every book we publish is special and should not be constrained by length or size. Each deserves to be savoured, like a fine wine, whether in the bath, on a long journey or on a comfy sofa with a cup of tea (or something stronger!). So in 2006 we launched our new imprint, Max, for those wanting something to get their teeth into - books about history, biography, literature and travel. Books with a social conscience that will make you think about the world and where we are in it.

Whether you have just enough time to squeeze in a Little Book or settle down and indulge yourself in a Max, we hope that you will enjoy reading our books as much as we and our authors have loved creating them for you.
